Doctor of Hospitality Management

DOCTOR OF HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT FROM FRANCE AND LEVEL 8 DIPLOMA FROM the UK

The Doctor of Hospitality Management is a Doctoral program that trains students in hospitality management.

To help balance expertise and research capabilities, the program combines the study of in-depth hospitality management courses with doctoral thesis research in hospitality management.

Doctor of Hospitality Management (D.H.M) is the most prestigious title in hospitality management.

The Doctor of Hospitality Management at the Université Libérale de Paris (Paris-U) is a dual degree program offered by France and the United Kingdom. Students graduate with two independent degrees.

Graduates will receive:

  • Level 8 Diploma (Doctoral Level) under the UK RQF framework: The London Academy of Sciences Level 8 Diploma in Hospitality Management.
  • Doctorate of Hospitality Management (D.H.M) from Université Libérale de Paris.

Program Overview

Academic support:

  • The exclusive English language and academic support system provided by our partners assists international students in overcoming language barriers and difficulties.
  • Tutors during classes
  • Additional workshops will be held locally to help students conduct and complete their Ph.D thesis research with confidence.

Learning method:

The program is designed for both full-time students on our campus in France and international students by embracing the Hybrid model, which combines live classes and local tutors (online). With the Hybrid learning model, students can study French and UK programs and earn degrees as full-time students without living and working in France like our full-time students.

Degrees: 2 independent degrees with the specialization based on the PhD thesis

  • The LRN Level 8 Diploma in Management and Leadership.
  • Doctor of Philosophy in Hotel and Restaurant Management (HMR.D) from the Université Libérale de Paris.

The Doctor of Hospitality and Restaurant Management (HM.D) dual degree program is an applied research-oriented program in which students will study subjects in research and research implementation step by step with the Instructor’s support and supervision. If the student wishes to publish international articles on the ISI/SCOPUS system or in international journals owned or affiliated with Paris-U after completing their studies, they will be guided through a separate route.

The program is three years long. The method of instruction consists of a combination of globally live-streamed lectures (Live Classes) and online tutors and instructors.

Mandatory modules:

  • Develop Advanced Research Approaches in a suitable context (30 credits)
  • Advanced Literature Review (30 credits)
  • Advanced Design Research (30credits)
  • Advanced Data Analytics for Research (30 credits)

Students will complete each phase of their PhD thesis after each course.
