Depending on the degree you demand to pursue at university, you are expected to have a B1/B2 level of French in your European Language Passport.

TCF (Test de Connaissance du français) is the official test administered by the French Ministry of Education and designed by France Education International (FEI). The tests can be taken online with correspondence in certain countries, and scores are valid for two years.
Le TEF (Test d’évaluation de français) is an international reference distributed and created by the CCI of Paris Ile-de-France, which students can take it online in receiving results immediately after. It assesses the level of skills and knowledge in French on a scale of 7.
French Language Qualifications
The DELF (Diplôme d’Etudes en Langue Française) and the DALF (Diplôme approfondi de Langue Française) are official diplomas and awarded by the Ministry of National Education.
They consist of six independent diplomas that attest to the candidates’ proficiency in the four areas of language competency. The DELF and DALF diplomas, unlike examinations, are permanent.
English Languages Qualifications
People must meet a few common prerequisites to study in France, such as English qualifications. Several are still perplexed as to why pupils must demonstrate their English ability in a country where French is the native dialect.
To be informed, there are still universities that provide English courses in which students can choose French or English teaching. The International English Language Testing System is known as IELTS. English Language Qualifications: TOEFL
TOEFL is another English language test that is also accepted as an eligibility criterion to study in France. To demonstrate their English language proficiency, international students can submit their Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) scores while applying to colleges in France.
